In October Central Government Revenue Amounted to LTL 2,603.8 million

Vilnius, November 30, 2006. According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, the surplus of central government in October was LTL 408.5 million and represented 0.5 % of the projected GDP for 2006.

In October access State budget was LTL 385.1 million, the deficit of extrabudgetary funds amounted to LTL 21.8 million, the surplus of social insurance funds made up LTL 45.2 million.

In October central government revenue amounted to LTL 2,603.8 million, expenditure made up LTL 1,957.4 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 237.9 million. The major share of revenue was gained from taxes (65.6 %) and social insurance contributions (26.3 %), while the major share of expenditure (43.6 %) was designated to social payments.

Ten-month surplus of central government was LTL 1,199.8 million and made up 1.5 % of the projected GDP for 2006.

Ten-month access State budget was LTL 998.1 million, the deficit of extrabudgetary funds amounted to LTL 142.9 million, the surplus of social insurance funds made up LTL 344.6 million. Ten-month revenue of central government amounted to LTL 19,921.7 million, expenditure – LTL 17,458.3 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 1,263.6 million.

Central government covers the State budget, social insurance funds (“SoDra”, the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and the Employment Fund), as well as extrabudgetary funds such as Privatisation Fund, Guarantee Fund, Reserve (Stabilisation) Fund, Ignalina NPP Decommissioning Fund, 1990 Blockade Fund and Savings Restitution Account.
