G. Skaistė will visit South Korea where she will discuss possibilities for closer cooperation in Fintech
Minister of Finance Gintarė Skaistė will visit South Korea this week to deliver a keynote speech at the Korea Fintech Week, meet with the leaders of the financial services sector and representatives of the authorities of the country, and discuss prospects for closer cooperation.
"Global economies are undergoing a structural shift towards a green transformation. Fintech solutions have a huge potential to become a driving force in the financial sector, ensuring that resources are effectively channelled towards achieving greening objectives. As Europe’s leading Fintech hub, with an advanced regulatory framework and an emerging green finance ecosystem, Lithuania has a unique opportunity to exploit synergies in these areas, enabling new business models,” Minister Skaistė said.
At the event in Seoul, the Minister of Finance of Lithuania will deliver a keynote speech on sustainability and financial technology trends in Europe.
G. Skaistė is also scheduled to meet with the Vice-Minister of Economy and Finance of South Korea, the Head of the Financial Services Commission of South Korea, and representatives of the financial sector.
The Global Fintech Exhibition and Conference “Korea Fintech Week” will take place over three days from 27 to 29 August. To highlight the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the financial sector, the main topic of this year’s exhibition is “Beyond Boundaries: Fintech and AI Redefining Finance".
