In June Central Government Revenue Amounted to LTL 2,326.8 Million

Vilnius, July 30. According to the data presented by the Ministry of Finance, the central government deficit was LTL 98 million or represented 0.1 % of the projected GDP for the current year.

In June the State budget deficit was LTL 135.1 million, the deficit of extrabudgetary funds amounted to LTL 45.9 million, and the deficit of social security funds made up LTL 83 million.

In June central government revenue was LTL 2,326.8 million, expenditure made up LTL 2,190.9 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 233.9 million. The major share of revenue was gained from taxes (62.3 %) and social contributions (30 %.), while the major share of expenditure (47.4 %) was designated to social payments.

Six-month central government deficit amounted to LTL 458 million and accounted for 0.5 % of GDP. The State budget deficit was LTL 497 million, the deficit of extrabudgetary funds – LTL 8.9 million, the surplus of social security funds made up LTL 47.9 million.

Six-month revenue of central government amounted to LTL 12,943 million, expenditure – LTL 12,502.4 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 898.6 million.

Central government covers the State budget, social insurance funds (“SoDra”, Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and Employment Fund), as well as extrabudgetary funds such as Privatisation Fund, Guarantee Fund, Reserve (Stabilisation) Fund, Ignalina NPP Decommissioning Fund, 1990 Blockade Fund and Savings Restitution Account, and also State Property Fund and joint-stock company Turto Bankas.
