In September Central Government Revenue Amounted to LTL 2,810.3 Million

Vilnius, October 30. According to the data presented by the Ministry of Finance, in September the surplus of central government was LTL 540.4 million or represented 0.6 % of the projected GDP for the current year (LTL 95,361 million).

In September central government revenue amounted to LTL 2,810.3 million, expenditure made up LTL 1,986.9 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 283 million. The major share of revenue was gained from taxes (69.3 %) and social contributions (22.2 %.), while the major share of expenditure (54.5 %) was designated to social payments.

Nine-month surplus of central government was LTL 248.5 million and accounted for 0.3 % of GDP. Nine-month revenue of central government amounted to LTL 20,778.7 million, expenditure made up LTL 18,734.4 million, and transactions in non-financial assets – LTL 1,795.8 million.

Central government covers the State budget, social insurance funds (“SoDra”, the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and the Employment Fund), as well as extrabudgetary funds, such as Privatisation Fund, Guarantee Fund, Reserve (Stabilisation) Fund, Ignalina NPP Decommissioning Fund, 1990 Blockade Fund and Savings Restitution Account, as well as State Property Fund and joint-stock company Turto Bankas.
