Vilnius. September 5. Today, 46 year old Mr. Valentinas Miltienis took the position of Viceminister of Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania.
Mr. Valentinas Miltienis graduated from the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics and Finance of Vilnius University, acquired economist qualifications and from 2003 to 2005 was the manager of the National Paying Agency. He started working for this institution from 2000.
Over the past two years Mr. Valentinas Miltienis was the head of the Commercial and Marketing Division of the retail trading company.
Viceminister is a civil servant of political (personal) confidence, who is admitted to the service for this position without a competition by the choice of a state politician for the term of his authorisations.
