GGG will award a monthly bonus of EUR 1, 500 to employees who have voluntarily opted for military service

Giraitės ginkluotės gamykla AB (AB GGG) will pay a gross incentive bonus of EUR 1, 500 per month to employees who voluntarily choose military service during their entire period of service. This decision was approved by GGG Board on Tuesday.

"The decision to voluntarily serve Lithuania should not turn into an income concern. By temporarily leaving the job and choosing to perform military service, a person assumes an important obligation to the State, so the support of the employer can help to preserve financial stability and focus on service," Minister of Finance Taurimas Valys congratulates the decision of AB GGG.

The gross incentive monthly bonus of EUR 1, 500 will be paid additionally to the employees of AB GGG, regardless of the benefits or compensation granted by the State. It will be available to employees who worked for the company before entering the service and will provide documents confirming the voluntary choice of the service and its performance. The bonus will be paid throughout the period of actual service.

"With this decision, we establish a clear principle: the willingness of the employee to serve the State must be accompanied by the support of the employer. Financial support does not solve all the challenges related to the service, but it helps to reduce one of the most important – uncertainty about income during the period when a person devotes his time to Lithuania's security," Dangirutis Janušas, Chairman of the Board of AB GGG, says.
