DEVELOPMENT OF THE LITHUANIAN FINTECH SECTOR FOR 2023-2028

The Ministry of Finance, together with partners, prepared the Guidelines for the Development of the Lithuanian Fintech Sector for 2023-2028. The guidelines establish that the development of this sector should gain even greater momentum in the next five years, and the ultimate goal is to become an internationally recognized high-added-value European Fintech centre.

• The guidelines for the development of the sector provide for the essential works necessary for achieving this goal.
• For the successful and sustainable development of the sector, it is important to ensure the qualitative development of the sector, the development of competences and talents, as well as risk management and increasing maturity of companies. The aim will also be to attract companies offering innovative solutions to Lithuania and to increase the awareness of Lithuania as a jurisdiction.
• The guidelines for the development of the Fintech sector in Lithuania for the next five years are important for the development of the financial technology ecosystem and for licensed participants, technology companies, public authorities and many others.
