In Miami, Vice-Minister of Finance Januš Kizenevič will invite Fintech companies to expand into the European Union through Lithuania
Vice-Minister of Finance Januš Kizenevič, who will accompany the President's delegation to Miami (USA), will present the Lithuanian Fintech sector and local Fintech companies to US companies and will invite them to start expansion to the European Union (EU) in Lithuania.
“Over 10 years of consistent work with the Fintech sector, we have established ourselves as the Fintech hub of the European Union. We see great potential in this area for closer economic ties between the United States and Lithuania," J. Kizenevič said ahead of the visit.
According to the Vice-Minister, Lithuania's responsible approach to risk management and financial stability, rapid decision-making and a business-friendly environment would ensure the successful development of US companies across the European Union. "Companies thinking about expansion to the EU must seriously consider the possibilities of establishment in Lithuania," the Vice-Minister of Finance stressed the purpose of the visit.
Lithuania ranks first in the European Union in terms of the number of Fintech companies licensed (mainly in the area of payments). Over the last 10 years, the number of Fintech companies operating in Lithuania has tripled (from 82 companies in 2016 to 248 in 2025), while the number of employees working in the sector has quadrupled (from 1500 employees in 2016 to 7800 employees in 2025).
During his visit to Miami, the Vice-Minister will participate in the U.S.-Lithuanian Business Forum, where he will present the advantages of the Lithuanian Fintech ecosystem, meet with various American companies and invite them to start or expand their existing activities in Lithuania.
