Minister of Finance met with representatives of the Lithuanian Life Insurance Companies Association

When it comes to long-term financial decisions, it is important that the rules are clear, consistent and work effectively in practice.

Minister of Finance Taurimas Valys, together with the Ministry’s team, met with representatives of the Lithuanian Life Insurance Companies Association.

The meeting focused primarily on changes to the regulation of investment-based life insurance – including the proposed amendments to the Law on Insurance, insights from the sector and practical issues related to the application of the regulatory framework.

The discussion also covered other issues relevant to the life insurance market and further cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.

Such dialogue helps assess how proposed changes would work in practice and what solutions are needed to ensure that the regulatory framework is clear for both consumers and market participants.
