In the first seven months of this year, EUR 713 million of EU structural funds and theplan “Next Generation Lithuania” (NGL) have already been disbursed to various private and public sector projects in Lithuania, the Ministry of Finance reports.

Planned EU investments reach Lithuania through two channels: under the 2021-2027 Investment Programme (IP) and the plan “Next Generation Lithuania” (NGL). By the beginning of August this year, EUR 373 million have been disbursed under the IP and EUR 340 million under the NGL plan.

The plan consists of a total of 216 milestones covering two main areas: the implementation of reforms and investment projects. By early August, 110 milestones (51% of the total) had been implemented.
