New Minister of Finance Kristupas Vaitiekūnas takes office
Following the approval of the programme of the XXth Government by the Seimas and oath of the members of the new Cabinet of Ministers, Mr. Kristupas Vaitiekūnas takes office as Minister of Finance.
Since 6 January this year, K. Vaitiekūnas has served as Vice-Minister of Finance, overseeing tax policy, financial market policy, fiscal policy, EU and International Cooperation.
Over the past few years, the new Minister of Finance has worked as a Tax Project Manager at Rödl & Partner UAB, before that as a Transfer Pricing Chief Consultant and Analyst, Senior Project Management Specialist at the National Cancer Institute, etc.
K. Vaitiekūnas graduated from Vilnius University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in International Finance.
