Vice-Minister of Finance continues visits to Lithuanian customs offices – visited Klaipėda Territorial Customs Office
Continuing his visits to Lithuanian customs offices, on 13 August, Vice-Minister of Finance Kęstutis Kvaraciejus visited Klaipėda Territorial Customs Office, where he familiarized himself with the work of customs officials, the specifics of cargo control, and the main challenges faced in carrying out customs supervision at Klaipėda State Seaport.
“Klaipėda Territorial Customs Office is one of the most important links in the Lithuanian customs system in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through Klaipėda Seaport and the economic security of the State. This is why we want not only to see results, but also to better understand what practical challenges officials face on a daily basis and what solutions they need," Vice-Minister of Finance K. Kvaraciejus said.
During the visit, the Vice-Minister discussed operational results and day-to-day challenges with customs representatives and took an interest in the working conditions of officials, technological solutions, and the organization of cargo control. Opportunities to enhance control efficiency and further digitize customs processes were also discussed.
