Vice-Minister of Finance meets the investors in Lithuanian Government securities in Frankfurt, London and Paris

Vice-Minister of Finance Darius Sadeckas during his visit to Frankfurt, London and Paris on 22-24 April will meet institutional investors in Government securities (GS).

During his visit, Vice-Minister of Finance D. Sadeckas together with Director of the State Treasury Department Rasa Kavolytė and Senior Adviser Toma Sasnauskienė will meet actual and potential investors in GSin Frankfurt, London and Paris. During the meetings Vice-Minister of Finance will present Lithuania’s economic situation, fiscal policy and public debt management.

In February, Lithuania borrowed EUR 1.5 billion in international capital markets by issuing a 10-year Eurobond issue. In 2024, the Government plans to borrow up to EUR 5.7 billion in total. Part of the funds will be borrowed in the domestic market by issuing Government securities of about EUR 2.2 billion, while the other part will be borrowed in foreign capital markets by issuing Eurobonds of about EUR 3 billion. Also, about EUR 0.4 billion is also expected to be borrowed from international financial institutions.
