Vice-Minister of Finance V. Česnulevičiūtė - Markevičienė invited Japanese companies to benefit from the advantages of the Lithuanian financial services market and invest in our country

During her visit in Japan, Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Finance Vaida Česnulevičiūtė - Markevičienė met with Japanese Vice-Minister of Finance Masato Kanda. At the meeting, the Vice-Minister presented the Lithuanian Fintech ecosystem and opportunities for Japanese companies to establish themselves in Lithuania and develop their activities here.

Lithuania is one of Europe's Fintech hubs, whose unique strength is close and open cooperation between public authorities and market participants in solving challenges that Fintech companies face and achieving the goals set.

"Lithuania has already established itself as one of the main financial technology hubs in Europe. Financial technology could be one of the potential areas for strengthening economic cooperation between Japan and Lithuania. If Japanese companies in this sector were to look for expansion abroad, Lithuania is ready to welcome them and open the gates to Europe," said Vice-Minister of Finance V. Česnulevičiūtė - Markevičienė.
