The Draft Budgetary Plan (DBP) is a summary of information submitted in accordance with the requirements applicable to all euro area Member States. It is consistent with the draft Law on the Approval of the Budget prepared by the Government and the draft budgets of other entities classified within the general government sector.

Upon receiving the draft budgetary plans, the European Commission assesses them and issues an opinion on whether national budgetary indicators comply with the EU economic governance requirements. It also assesses the measures taken by the country to implement specific recommendations of the EU Council.
