EU Investments 2007–2013

EU structural assistance for 2007–2013 is allocated from the European Social Fund, European Regional Development Fund and Cohesion Fund under the Lithuanian Strategy for the Use of European Union Structural Assistance for 2007-2013(i.e. the assistance granted totals more than LTL 23 billion).

The considerations towards the EU Cohesion Policy after the year 2013 at EU level have started from the middle of 2007. More intensive discussions and preparation for the new period of the use of EU structural assistance at EU and national levels started in the second half of 2010, when the Commission for solving the issues related to EU structural assistance for 2014–2020 was established in Lithuania and the European Commission published the Fifth Report on Economic, Social and Territorial Cohesion.
