“Lithuania is launching a special business partnership programme in Ukraine, for which EUR 1 million will be allocated. This programme will support cooperation between Lithuanian and Ukrainian companies contributing to the reconstruction and economic recovery of Ukraine and will make it easier for companies to move from initial ideas for cooperation to specific and commercially viable projects in Ukraine", Minister of Finance Kristupas Vaitiekūnas presented further cooperation.

Support from the partnership programme will cover different stages of the development of business partnerships, including partner search and partnership models, feasibility studies, business plans, environmental and social impact studies, innovation development, pilot and demonstration projects in Ukraine, training and capacity building of local staff and business development related to investment and infrastructure projects.

“Seeing Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen a favourable environment for investment, entrepreneurship and innovation, we aim to further strengthen cooperation between Lithuanian and Ukrainian companies and create the most favourable conditions for commercially viable partnerships that would contribute to Ukraine’s recovery and resilience, and at the same time strengthen Lithuania’s economy,” K. Vaitiekūnas emphasized.

The signed declaration foresees priority areas of cooperation in energy resilience, cybersecurity, construction and resilient infrastructure, demining, civil protection, logistics and emergency response solutions, industrial modernisation and localisation of production in Ukraine, education and innovation, strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and competitiveness.

The programme will be financed from the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund, and at the end of 2026, after evaluating the results of the programme, a decision will be made regarding its continuity for the period 2027-2028. The management of the programme will be carried out by the Central Project Management Agency.
