Revolut Bank's new CEO unveils expansion plans in Europe

Minister of Finance Taurimas Valys met with the newly appointed CEO of Revolut Bank Kuba Fast. The main focus of the meeting was the discussion on the strategic development of Revolut, as the company took a historic step by obtaining a banking licence in France. Obtaining a secondary banking licence in France marks the transformation of the bank into a pan-European digital financial giant, the main strategic core of which remains in Lithuania.

“We welcome the whole Revolut community on obtaining a banking licence in France. This is an ambitious and strategic step that consolidates Revolut's position as a strong European digital bank. It is particularly important to us that, in the context of this enlargement, Lithuania retains its strategic importance in developing, testing and introducing the latest financial products to the entire European Union market," the Minister of Finance said.

During the meeting, Revolut's activities in Lithuania, future plans for the development of new products and services for consumers, Revolut's development outside Europe and priorities for increasing the competitiveness of the European Union were discussed.

Revolut is one of the main players in the growing Fintech sector in Lithuania, serving more than 50 million customers across Europe.
