The Ministry of Finance Allocated EUR 750, 000 of Humanitarian Aid to the Republic of Moldova

Today, the Government approved the draft resolution of the Ministry of Finance, which provided EUR 750, 000 of humanitarian aid to the Republic of Moldova. The decision has been taken after a formal appeal by the Republic of Moldova concerning the exodus of people provoked by V. Putin’s military actions in the Ukraine.

“As a result of Putin’s unprecedented military aggression in the Ukraine, the citizens are forced to leave their homes and apply for asylum in the neighbouring states. One of them − Moldova, facing a large influx of the Ukrainians, is asking for help. Aware of the difficult situation, the Government of the Republic of Lithuania allocates funds to ensure the humanitarian aid. Witnessing Putin’s aggression, we need to help with everything possible“, stated Minister of Finance G. Skaistė.

The Republic of Moldova informs that almost 70, 000 Ukrainians entered the country in recent days.
